Frequently Asked Questions
What is Dr. Norcross' background and training?
Dr. Norcross graduated from Logan Chiropractic College in St. Louis in December of 1988 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He began his study of Kinesiology and clinical nutrition over 40 years ago. His passion for alternative medicine led him to studies in Ayurvedic, Chinese and Homeopathic medicine. He has been licensed in Chiropractic and Acupuncture since 1989 and completes at least 30 hours of continuing education every year.
How will you diagnose my problem?
The diagnostic technique used at the center is based more on the energetic system approach rather than solely working with standard Western medical technology. While this technology is often useful and successful at identifying cellular problems, our approach is based on using a whole systems view of the body. We will use interviews, symptomatic presentation and Kineseological (muscle testing) diagnostics.
Are the techniques dangerous?
The therapies used are no stronger than natural vitamins, herbs and homeopathic remedies. Every remedy is used on a short term basis only. So there is no long term exposure to any one remedy. We will provide your body with therapies that will mirror the natural level upon which the body works, rather than overwhelming the body with powerful synthetic medications.
Will I become dependent on continued “maintenance”?
Natural healing achieves the opposite result. When the body is allowed to heal itself the results are much more permanent than other “quick fixes”. We will work with you to balance your system to the point where the body will resume normal function without continued therapeutic support. It is important to remember that the holistic approach is also a philosophy about health and healing. The maintenance of health is also dependent on such factors as lifestyle, stress levels and genetic factors. The degree and permanence of the health obtained through this work is also based on a joint effort to reduce these factors as much as is reasonably possible.
